Experience d'Ouro

Booking Conditions

Experience D'Ouro is part of the company Torres e Barreira, Lda registered in Portugal with tax number 510 387 799. It also has registration RNAVT 6795 (from now on it will be referred to as DMC).
The following conditions, along with any relevant information mentioned during the booking process, form the basis of your contract with DMC. In these booking conditions, "you" represents each and every person named in the booking (including any names added or replaced later) and, if the context requires, "holder" represents the person who made the booking.
All contracts with us are subject to these booking conditions. We reserve the right to accept or reject any booking without giving reasons.

Make a reservation

You will be informed of the current price of your chosen tour before your booking is confirmed and the contract is confirmed. The quote is valid for 10 days and for the exact route quoted (does not include any date or itinerary changes). Your reservation is only confirmed upon receipt of your deposit. From this point on, we will not attempt to vary the price except in cases of "Force Majeure."

Pricing and Availability

When booking, you must pay a deposit for the full cost of the trip. All reservations will only be confirmed after payment of the deposit. Therefore, we reserve the right to price fluctuations. If there is no availability at any of the tour locations at the time of booking, we will select an alternative property/location that meets the same quality and price parameters.

Transfer of reservations

If the reservation holder is unable to travel due to illness, death of a close family member, court appearance, or for legitimate reasons, they may transfer the program to another person who meets all the same conditions as the reservation holder. Both parties will be subject to full payment of the program at the agreed price and will cover any additional costs arising from the change in holder (if requested by the partners included in the experience).

Cancellation of vacation or booked itinerary

If you wish to cancel the reserved program, you must notify us of your decision as soon as possible. Any notification by telephone must also be confirmed in writing by email within 24 hours by the reservation holder. Any cancellation will take effect the business day following receipt. The invoice will be sent to the reservation holder within 7 days of cancellation.

Cancellation costs are as follows:

  • Up to 30 days before the start of the program: free cancellation
  • Between 30 and 15 days in advance: 50% of the total reservation amount
  • Less than 15 days before or no-show: 100% of the total amount

If we have to change or cancel your reservation

We hope to provide all the services confirmed to you at the time of booking. Since all reservations are made through external partners such as villas, hotels, etc., over which we have no direct control, we may occasionally need to make changes, which we reserve the right to do. Most of the time, these will be minor details; however, occasionally, significant changes may be necessary.
We will also do our best to avoid cancellations, however we reserve the right to make them if it is not possible to provide the booked service or a viable alternative.

Força Maior

We are not responsible for events of "Force Majeure." This means any event that we or the service provider in question could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war (or conflicts foreseeable), riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions, fire, restrictions or congestion of airspace, airports, or ports, or any other event beyond our control. "Force Majeure" also includes when the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service advises against all but essential travel.

Your responsibility

Medical conditions

You must inform us of any medical conditions or existing disabilities that may affect your trip or how you will enjoy it, before booking.
If you have any doubts about whether any of the experiences are suitable for your physical condition, you should seek medical advice. As a term of your reservation, you guarantee that we have been informed of all medical conditions that may affect your experience and that it will be safe for everyone involved to participate in the program.

Complaints

If any problem arises during your trip, you should inform your guide as soon as possible so they can resolve the situation. Please contact us by phone or email as soon as you are not 100% satisfied with anything. If your complaint is not resolved during the trip, please contact us within 14 days of your return. We strongly suggest that you share any dissatisfaction with your guide so that it can be analyzed and resolved as soon as possible. Failure to do so may affect your rights to complain. As required by Portuguese law, you have access to the Complaints Book.
